 Universe Ride Tomorrow July 15

 The ride: This ride is a cycling institution in Western Sydney. We head west through Toongabbie, Kings Park, Lethbridge Park and Mount Druitt returning via the Great Western Highway. See details of each bunch below and select accordingly.

 Distance: 50km

 Approximate return: all bunches 8:10AM

 Elevation / terrain: 500m / flat to undulating

 Bunches

 Start Time: 6:10AM - Average speed 26kph to 28kph. (Moderate)

Meet: Officeworks North Parramatta, corner Church Street and James Ruse Drive

For a steadier “no-drop” pace, joining main group for coffee back at Parramatta.

This ride caters for riders who want to improve skills and comfort riding in a bunch and anyone who simply wants a moderately paced ride.

 Start time: 6.20am - Average speed 30kph to 32kph. (Intermediate) - (implemented during COVID-19 - check availability)

Meet: PETBARN 561 - 565 Church Street, North Parramatta opposite By Street.

This group will consist of fit riders who would normally form the second group on the Great Western Highway, Junior riders on restricted gearing and riders that are able to keep up on the highway but unable to take a turn in the fast group.

 Start time: 6:30AM - Average Speed 33 kph + (Fast)

Meet: PETBARN 561 - 565 Church Street, North Parramatta opposite By Street.

This group will consist of very fit riders that would normally form the fast group on the Great Western Highway. You should be able to take turns down the highway with this group and be experienced riding at pace in a fast bunch.

Regroup at Parra for a well-earned coffee.

Oakville Racing Starts August 5th

 

Starting on the 5th August Parramatta CC will be hosting the Oakville Worlds on newly sealed roads.

Race dates are as listed below.

Parramatta to Carlingford Shared Bike Pathway

The bike path is now open and can be accessed from the Eastern side of the UWS grounds just turn left off the Parramatta Valley Cycleway and after approx 100 meters turn right over the rail tracks then left to Carlingford. There is a temporary deviation at Rydalmere. Distance approx 12 Klm return with a steady climb all the way to Carlingford.

Take care on the return downhill run as pedestrians and other users can be unpredictable.

Parking at Club Parramatta

Parking is free for patrons attending functions and events. To avail free parking, functions attendees must simply validate their parking at reception upon arrival – stating the name of the function they are attending.

On Special Event Days, the car park will switch to ‘Special Event Parking’, two hours prior to the start of CommBank or other large-scale local events.

During the special event period, members will be charged a flat rate of $10 and non-members will be charged a flat rate of $15. Members are encouraged to arrive early, avoid the crowds, and enjoy Club Parramatta’s FREE car parking, prior to the event parking period.

Discounted $10 Member Pricing available within the Special Event Parking period.

 

  • Drive up to the car park boom gate and collect your ticket.
  • Validate your ticket in Club Parramatta
  • Pay $10 at the pay station

 

You must be a CHRG Member with a valid Membership card, prior to attending on the day to be eligible for discounted member pricing. You will need your printed Membership card** in order to obtain discounted parking.

**Any Members who do not have their printed Membership card will be required to pay the $15 Visitor Rate and present at Club Parramatta reception for further assistance.

Visitor Parking $15 within the Special Event Parking period.

The event day parking period begins 2 hours prior to the start of the event.
