Past PCC member Matthew Shields who suffered a serious heart attack is now an anbassador for Heart Research Australia in an effort to help other athletes rebuild their ability to compete in elite level competition.

Matthew now lives in the Illawarra costal town of Gerringong and is still very active in the local cycling scene and other cycling events throughout Australia.
