A Great weekend in Bathurst for our PCC riders.
It was a pretty good day weather wise today, unlike the rain which came in about 12.30pm Saturday cancelling the criterium races for seniors and masters.
Samantha Beatty was able to rattle around the Mt Panorama crit circuit for a win in the junior race before the heavens opened up putting a stop to the remainder of races on the circuit.
It was fantastic to see our PCC riders all smiling and very relaxed before a tough 100km race which started with one full lap off the famous MT Panorama circuit, before heading out along the country roads of Bathurst .
This course was tough! but it was great to see all ours riders make it home safely.
Mike Ellis and Kevin Young had some misfortune along the way with flat tyres but managed some quick repairs and completed 100km in very respectable times and position in their group.
It was a unique course and I’m sure some tall stories will be told on how fast some were at Mt Panorama .
Without outing one highly credentialed PCC member, this legend was seen hanging on the fence around the steepest part of the circuit where the famous Dick Johnson rock incident occurred,and when asked about this at the completion, he replied he was just stopped to check out the view.
Now if this Champion wasn’t ranked #2 in the world currently,I would have to say it was BS ,but will give him benefit of doubt on this occasion.

A big congratulations to young Joshua Brodie on his return to racing in the 50km race.
Although very underdone in his preparation after recent surgery, the racer Joshua is managed to place as 3rd male in the 50km event.
Well done everyone, one tough course done and dusted.
