Important Information: 2015 NSW Masters Road Championships
06 May 2015
The 2015 NSW Masters Road Championships are less than 3 weeks away with entries closing midnight this Sunday 10th May 2015. The Championships are set to be held in Griffith again this year on the weekend of the 23rd, 24th and 25th of May. After hosting a very successful Championships in 2014, Griffith Cycling Club intends on further enhancing the experience for Masters riders this year.
Please read the following information to ensure a hassle free and enjoyable weekend.
Accommodation: Accommodation options are getting tight due to another sporting event being held in Griffith on the same weekend. Not many Griffith accommodation houses use on-line services so it is recommended to ring directly to ensure your booking is made. Click here to visit the Griffith CC website <http://sitedesq.imgstg.com/clubscripts/linkCampaign.cfm?key=8F0C9CB5-C8A3-443A-9AFA-6D2F5C92C0E3> for a list of accommodation options and phone numbers (see bottom of webpage).
Entry Prizes: It looks like the Celebration dinner on Saturday night is not going to be fully subscribed so this means that to be eligible to win an entry prize you must be in attendance at the dinner. Remember there is $8,000 worth of prizes to be given away so buy a ticket to ensure you won’t be disappointed. Tickets will be able to be purchased on-line through the Cycling NSW entry portal until next Sunday 10th May.
If you are having problems purchasing a ticket call the Cycling NSW office on (02) 9738 5850 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Neutral spares: Not many riders are electing to put wheels in the neutral spares vehicle, most likely due to the worry of another rider using your wheels. This year there will be a spares vehicle however it will also be used as a lead escort vehicle in the event of a break-away exceeding one minute. Under this circumstance there will be no spares vehicle behind the peloton. If you are concerned about punctures it would be a good option to carry a product like “Pit Stop” with you. There will also be a sag vehicle circulating the course.
Massage tent: The massage tent was popular last year and it will be back again this year for Saturday and Sunday events. The massage tent is being run by Leeton Physio. Information on how to make a booking is on the Griffith Cycle Club web page or you can take a chance and turn up on the day. Cost is $20 for 15 minutes.
Enter now if you haven’t already as you don’t want to miss out on this highly anticipated weekend of cycling.
